Birthday wishlist

So it's my birthday in under 2 weeks (June 4th FYI) and I'm going to be turning 24 eek!

I know 24 is young but inside I feel like I am still 18.

Oh to be a care-free teenager again without the worries of grown up things like bills, healthcare, laundry and acting like a respectable member of society (ahem!).

None the less another year older is another year wiser, and when I look back at my life so far I feel blessed for the opportunities I have had, the moments I've been lucky enough to experience and all of the great memories I will cherish until the day I die.

Soppy bit aside, here's a few ideas for all of those struggling to think of what to get me ;-)

Lots of love

Garnier Moisture Match Illuminating Light Lotion

Despite the never ending advice about the importance of wearing sun protection, it's only been recently that I've paid full attention and decided to invest in an SPF moisturiser in an attempt to protect my skin from the sun.

As I've gotten older, I've started to notice changes to my skin such as colour pigmentation and the formation of brown spots - both of which are caused by sun damage, so now I try to do all I can to prevent aging and keep my skin looking its best.

Garnier Moisture Match Illuminating Light Lotion claims to offer 24 hour hydration and SPF20 while also brightening and illuminating the skin.

I found that it works as a fantastic base under foundation. The cream is fairly light and absorbs straight away, and has a delicious smell that reminds me of holiday - I can't quite place my finger on what it is but it smells goood

It lives up to its claims of 'brightening' and 'illuminating' and I notice an instant glow after using it, my skin definitely feels softer and looks more radiant.

I will definitely be stocking up on this for the summer months to give my skin that little extra protection and hopefully prevent the first signs of aging!

Do you use an SPF moisturiser? Which brands would you recommend?

April

Easter month has passed, flowers are in full bloom and we have enjoyed a nice couple of weeks of sunshine.

Summer is on the way and I have been working on my summer wardrobe in advance - which has included packing away all of the woolly jumpers and winter boots in favour of shorts, tees and dresses. Optimistic much?

April involved a long bank holiday weekend at home, eating too much Easter chocolate, spending time with friends and family and a whole lot of uni work.

In the next few weeks I am looking forward to more bank holidays (yay!), a visit from my mum and sister and am hoping to embrace the warmer weather - doesn't the sunshine just make everything better?

I also have a whole lot of revision to do before my two exams at the end of the month *sigh*

What did you get up to in April? Any exciting plans for May?
