Hello July

June has been pretty amazing.

Not only was it my birthday month - which meant lots of cake, celebrations and a quick trip home to see my family - I also completed a two-week work placement at a local TV station, which while hard work, was a fantastic experience and resulted in me landing an internship for my final year at university!!!

Ending the month on a high feels good and I'm now ready to take on July with hopes that the positivity will continue.

Soon it will be time to pack up my belongings and head home for the summer months before returning to Nottingham in October when the hard work will commence *eek*

Happy New Year

It feels as though 2015 passed in the blink of an eye but on review a lot of great things happened and overall it was a pretty good year for me.

As always I am excited to wipe the slate clean and start the new year fresh and motivated. 
I'm not talking about the whole 'new year, new me' cliche, but starting as I mean to go on and continuing to improve, succeed and become a better person... and with any luck make 2016 my best year yet.

Here's to the new year and the start of a new chapter in everyone's life. 
Continue to grow and prosper, stay humble, work hard, be kind and achieve everything you've ever dreamed of.

As far as records for world's fastest month since records first began go, I think we have found a new contender.

Seriously, WTH did June go?!

The last month has been pretty awesome. To kick things off it was my birthday on June 4th. Another year older, another year wiser...

I had a fab weekend back home with my family which included a fun trip to an animal farm, a day out in the beautiful Cotswolds, a pamper day at the salon and being treated to lots of amazing presents, delicious food and birthday cookie!

Uni has now finished for the summer so I have been enjoying the free time and generally mooching about in the sun, indulging in some good chic lit and maybe a little bit of shopping - well who can resist all of those summer sales?!

I am excited to go back home for a couple of months in July. A change of scenery will be greatly welcomed as will the chance to spend more time with friends and family before the new term begins in October.
