Top summer sale style picks


Weather aside, it is actually summer.

I'm hoping any day now we will get the glorious sunshine and tropical heat we've been waiting for... 

But until then why not treat yourself to some top summer sales picks so at least when summer does arrive, your wardrobe will be ready ;-)

Spring wardrobe detox

 


 It’s that time of year when the days get lighter, the temperature warmer and floral/nude shades make an appearance on the high-street once again.

Now is the perfect time to declutter, spring clean and start the new season fresh – and where better place to start than with your wardrobe?

Here’s some tips on what to do with those winter woolly jumpers and thick tights, and a few fresh spring styles to replace them with.

1. Declutter


-First up you need to make space. Set aside a few hours to go through your wardrobe and remove any clothes which won't be required in warmer weather, e.g: thick jumpers, big coats, thermals, etc, etc...

2. Storage vs donate


-Now the tricky part: to keep or not to keep? Is the item an investment piece/timeless classic/still wearable next winter? If the answer is no then get rid! The aim is to declutter so anything that no longer serves you should be donated to charity or gifted to a lucky friend.

                            

3. Replace


-Let the fun begin! Hopefully you've cleared plenty of space in your closet so now you can rediscover last season's stored favourites and of course... hit the high-street for a few new things to reward your hard work.

Nottingham Fashion Week #NottmFW


For the first time ever Nottingham will hold its very own fashion week to celebrate the city's fantastic fashion retailers and present the key trends for Spring/Summer 16.

Events will take place from 22nd-30th April and will include a Style Show Live catwalk hosted by BBC Radio 1 DJ and TV presenter Alice Levine.


With trends from nineties-sport to nautical-luxe and styles to suit all budgets there really is something for everyone - and the best part is it's all available to buy right here in the city!

Tickets cost £5 and include access to the live catwalk show and style lounge, an exclusive goodie bag and the chance to win a £60 voucher to spend at The Exchange if you are crowned 'Best Dressed' on the day.

Happy New Year



It feels as though 2015 passed in the blink of an eye but on review a lot of great things happened and overall it was a pretty good year for me.

 As always I am excited to wipe the slate clean and start the new year fresh and motivated. 
I'm not talking about the whole 'new year, new me' cliche, but starting as I mean to go on and continuing to improve, succeed and become a better person... and with any luck make 2016 my best year yet.

 Here's to the new year and the start of a new chapter in everyone's life. 
Continue to grow and prosper, stay humble, work hard, be kind and achieve everything you've ever dreamed of.

If I could swap wardrobes with anyone for a day - without a doubt it would be Chrissy Teigen.

Whether she's dressed down and rocking off-duty chic or glammed up for red carpet event - she simply nails it every time.

Girls night out




What girl doesn't love a fun night out with her best friends? 

Music, makeup, drinks and dancing are all essential ingredients for a great night out, but every girl knows the best part of the evening is getting ready.

Sometimes finding that perfect outfit that makes you look and feel gorgeous can be a challenge - and what should seemingly be an enjoyable task becomes so stressful. 

Ever feel like you have a wardrobe full of clothes and still have nothing to wear? Me too!

That's when you know it's time to grab your girlfriends and hit the shops...
